S1 Science Club
S1 Science club is on Thursday lunchtime, activities start just after 1.30 but pupils can arrive and meet with others to eat their packed lunch from 1.15. The club is run by Mr MacVicar and Mrs Wong along with some help from some 2nd year pupils (experienced science club experts!)
Science club gives pupils the opportunity to take part in exciting and fun science activities that are not done in class, as well as getting to know their peers a bit better. Some of the experiments that pupils took part in included:

Science Club this week 12/11/15 We made Elephants toothpaste! It was filmed but the clip was too big to upload! Glasgow Science Centre visit 17/06/16 The S1 and S2 Science Club pupils visited the GSC (accompanied by Mr MacVicar and Mr Jack) to do an activity where they extracted their own DNA and learned about possible job careers, especially in Science. It was a very fun day! It was a good day and I learnt a lot about DNA. I have enjoyed the trip to the science centre and thankful for the opportunity Overall, I really enjoyed the trip and was interested by the whole experience. I enjoyed my time at the Science Centre and it was so fun to learn more things and experience new things. |
